Dear Friends and Family,

We are now back in the Seattle area after spending a couple of weeks in Maine and some time in Baltimore meeting with our sponsoring organization to Haiti, the Xaverian Brothers.  The volunteer committee decided to suspend the volunteer program to Haiti for the duration of this year and next year.  This means that we will not be going back to Haiti to complete our year of service and we have come back to Seattle to figure out what is next for usÖBondye konnen or God knows as they say in Haiti. Benjamin has school coming up and that is all that is certain at this point.  We have started looking for jobs...Jana in international education or domestic/international development...Benjamin back to programming.  But we also still are doing some work long distance for the orphanage in Haiti...administrative support stuff...and are hoping to stay involved there as much as possible.  We hope that even if you all aren't getting emails from us in Haiti anymore that you will keep the country and the people in your thoughts...as well as all the regions of this world where peace and self determination are not yet a reality.  Thanks for all your support and interest in our work over the year!
