I had a chance to use my translation skills when Dr. Kurt came and visited and was asked to view the new clinic and school that was opening up in the south of Haiti. The new clinic sits atop a mountain with a beautiful view of the Caribbean sea. Well lo and behold after our visit at the clinic we went down to the sea to have lunch. And when I say we went down to the sea to have lunch I mean we ate right on the beach. You couldn't make a travel advertisement any more beautiful than this place. To top it off we had bar-b-qued lobster and fish. If Haiti could only get its tourism act together it could really make some money, although I have to admit it was nice to have the place all to ourselves.
