LETTER FROM BROTHER HARRY BON VOYAGE, MIKI! Mike McGeehin left Pandiassou after completing his commitment to spend a year in Haiti with the Little Brothers of the Incarnation in service to the marginalized of Haiti. From both the spiritual and the ministerial aspect, he had a very good year. I shall miss him. Miki left with a group of visitors from St. Nicholas parish, Virginia Beach. Some of the group were veterans of previous visits, and we had a good time sharing our experiences and hopes. We go to press just after our three new volunteers go to Haiti. On August 16, following three days of preparation, Jana and Benjamin Robbins and Brian Gross were commissioned at a liturgy in Baltimore. Presiding at the commissioning liturgy was a former missionary in Haiti, Fr. Mike Hann CICM. Fr. Bill Quigley CICM, provicial superior of the Missionhurst American Province, and also a former missionary in Haiti, attended as well. The day previously, Fr. Mike had led them in a day of reflection and they had spent the two days before that in practical orientation toward life and ministry in Haiti. The three will spend some more orientation time at the Louverture-Cleary School in Croix des Bouquets improving their Kreyòl skills before heading up to the Central Plateau with Brother Harry.
